With 24×7 Ambulance Service, Kashmir Health Department is always ready to get on the field for any need of ambulances. We have 102/108 Free Ambulance Service operational in Jammu Kashmir .
Under this Service a total Fleet of 116 Ambulances under 108 Emergency Ambulance Service has been deployed across the UT of J&K. The Fleet comprises of 50 Advance Life Support (ALS) & 66 Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulances.
The 108 Emergency Ambulance Service provide emergency services to the people of the UT of J&K in case of any emergencies like Road traffic accident , Pregnancy related, Heart attack , Strokes and any other medical emergencies.
The service is managed through a centralized Emergency Response Center (ERC) for the UT which has been setup at Jammu.
The service can be availed by the people in J&K by dialing three digit toll free number-108 from any mobile or landline without adding any prefix or suffix.
On receiving a call at 108 ERC the Emergency Response Officer (ERO) will collect some basic information and dispatch the nearest Ambulance to the place of emergency occurred.
Every 108 Ambulance has a team of trained professionals available 24X7 round the clock. Every Ambulance has an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) who is a medical professional along with the Pilot who is driver.
